Authorized by the National Chief Inspector of Natural resources, the Nanjing Bureau of the National Natural Resources Inspector on the 17th publicly interviewed the People's Government of Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, where the protection of cultivated land and mineral resources inspectors found that the problems of violations were more serious in 2022, pointed out the problems face to face, put forward requirements, and urged Jiujiang City to correct its ideological understanding, deeply learn lessons, and comprehensively and deeply rectify.
According to the Nanjing Bureau of the State Natural Resources Inspector, in 2022, inspectors found prominent problems such as illegal occupation and destruction of cultivated land for new construction in Jiujiang City, false balance and supplement of cultivated land, illegal exploitation of open-pit mines, illegal transfer of mining rights, and weak law enforcement and supervision of mineral resources.
The interview pointed out that these problems erode the bottom line of resource security, hinder high-quality development, damage the credibility of the government, and affect social stability, and the harm is multi-faceted and deep-seated. Jiujiang Municipal government should implement the main responsibility of rectification, comprehensively rectify the problem, pay close attention to correct the problem, adhere to strict attitude, strict standards, strict measures, both investigate and punish the matter, and hold the person accountable, push the truth, strictly rectify the problem, distinguish the type, cause, nature, etc., refine the rectification measures one by one, formulate a scientific and feasible rectification plan, rectify the problem according to law and regulations, classify the rectification, and establish the rectification mechanism. Strengthen supervision and inspection and business guidance, compaction responsibility, rectification within a time limit.
The interview required that in the rectification, Jiujiang City should seriously reflect on the deep causes of ideological understanding, philosophy and style, and responsibility implementation, and strive to fundamentally reverse the passive situation of natural resources management, effectively enhance the sense of mission and responsibility of strict protection and rational use of natural resources, and run the "conservation priority, protection priority" policy throughout the whole process and all aspects of natural resources management. We will speed up the transformation of the way resources are used, adhere to high-quality development, implement and improve systems and mechanisms for ensuring natural resource factors, spatial planning, use control, law enforcement and supervision, and enhance our capacity to manage natural resources.
